LOCATION:  At Shaba Game Reserve, on the Northern part off Kenya. The distance is about km from Nanyuki (Mount Kenya region), 320Kms (5 hours) from Nairobi and 50 minutes by air to the Samburu Airstrip serviced by scheduled flights once daily from Meru, Nairobi and TO Masai Mara. A road from the airstrip takes about half an hour (park fees applicable). Shaba has an own airstrip not frequented bt scheduled flights.

 

DESCRIPTION: The lodge is an oasis of a lot of fresh running water from a natural spring in a semi-arid region. The grounds are well tended and the buildings thoughtfully designed to blend in with the environment and surrounded by an electrical fence.

NUMBER OF ROOMS: 85 rooms in 2 Storeys with 04 rooms to a block:-

(56 twins, 20 doubles, 04 triples, 04 Junior Suites (with separate bedroom & Lounge) and 01 Presidential Suite (with separate bedroom, Lounge and a private Jacuzzi).

  

Room décor: All thatched chalets face the river, built with local material and are very spacious.

 

Room amenities: Luxury en-suite with bath, shower and WC, Mosquito net and overhead fan and 240 volts electricity.

 

Special feature: The lodge is an oasis in the desert!!!! A magnificent swimming pool!!!! A movie making haven due to the beautiful and unique landscape!!!!
