LOCATION: In the Samburu Game Reserve, approximately 330 Km (5 hours) from Nairobi by road and about one hour by air to the Samburu airstrip.

  

DESCRIPTION: Beautifully set on the banks of the Uaso Nyiro River in a rugged landscape with a backdrop of jagged mountains, thorn bush open plains and vast horizons with own indigenous animals unique to the region and the semi-nomadic Samburu people. A true taste of the romance of the desert.

Room décor: Wide choice of accommodation spread up and down the banks the river in cottages, bandas and single or twin rooms.

Leopard and crocodile viewing - Every night a number of crocodiles climb up the river bank to the edge of the crocodile bar and feast on food left out for them. On a good night the elusive Leopard, a nocturnal animal may be spotted at a tree across the river where fresh meat is put as “bait’ everyday.

Samburu dances – In the lodge arena daily from 2.30pm to 3.00pm
