Nile Porch

Situated on the banks of the Victoria Nile overlooking the spectacular Bujagali Falls, the Nile Porch offers a unique experience in beautifully appointed tented accommodation and family cottages.

Ideally positioned individual units have been designed to optimise privacy and allow uninterrupted panoramic views of the river and its surroundings.

The Nile Porch offers something for everyone, unwind while relaxing by the crystal blue swimming pool and enjoy the abundance of colourful native flora and fauna or the more adventurous, try to conquer the grade 5 rapids of the Nile in a 14ft raft.

Located in the heart of Uganda's adventure capital, Bujagali Falls also offers such activities as kayaking, river boarding, quad biking, horseback riding and zip lines. For the less adventurous, activities such as village walks, community projects and family float trips are also available.

As the river meanders its way towards Cairo so will the sun eventually meander towards the horizon. Sunset over the Nile is truly a spectacular sight and what better way to enjoy it than sitting on your own private porch sipping your favourite refreshment.

End your day with a sumptuous meal at the Black Lantern Restaurant before retiring to a well deserved peaceful nights sleep.

Safari Tents

With thatched roofs, en-suite bathrooms and beautiful rustic interiors, sleeping in a tent has never been such an experience. Locally made furniture and fittings, specifically designed for the Nile Porch using natural resources from the surrounding area, offer both comfort and pleasure to the eye.

En-suite bathrooms are themselves a unique experience, designed to allow the maximum enjoyment of the environment yet still offer complete privacy. Imagine the exhilarating feeling of taking a hot shower whilst still watching the Nile flow by.

Slowly awaken to the sound of the river before stepping out to your own private porch to enjoy the breathtaking views and a hot cup of tea or coffee.

With each tent only a short walk from the swimming pool there is nothing better than an early morning dip before a delicious breakfast at the Black Lantern. And what to do with the rest of the day? Get involved with the many activities available or just sit back and relax, whichever you choose our staff will help ensure you enjoy your day.

Family Units

Whilst maintaining the style of the safari tents, our two bedroom units are perfect for a family. With a master bedroom, kids bedroom, lounge & dining room there is plenty of space for all. Overlooking the pool, each unit also has its own outside porch giving a shaded area to relax while still keeping an eye on the kids. Children under 2 years of age are free.

Food & Drink

Undoubtedly the finest a la carte restaurant in Jinja, the Black Lantern is a culinary experienced not to be missed. Enjoy a pre-meal drink relaxing in the comfortable lounges on the Black Lantern Porch while admiring the stunning yet serene surroundings.

Already famous for its pork spare ribs the Black Lantern has quickly become a favourite destination for those who enjoy a little indulgence. Our menu offers something for everyone.
