The building was constructed in the 1960's almost entirely of wood and glass around a natural typical Serengeti "kopjes" or rocky outcrop. The lodge ideally located at the heart of the Serengeti plains to track the migration of wildebeests.
LOCATION: Seronera Wildlife Lodge is ideally located at the heart of the Serengeti plains, on the edge of the Seronera River, approximately 335 km (7 hours) from Arusha, 145 km (3 hours) from Ngorongoro Crater and 4 km from the Seronera airstrip, serves scheduled anprivate charter flights.
CLIMATE: The temperature is comfortably hot during the day, nights can be chilly. Rains occur between November and May, the heaviest rainfall is normally in April. June to October are dry and windy. September and October are much drier before the November rains.
NUMBER OF ROOMS: The lodge has 75 rooms over two levels, with 58 twin rooms, 18 double rooms (King-size bed), two junior suites and one Presidential suite. 18 of the rooms are inter-connecting.
Room decor: All rooms have a view over the Serengeti Park. Simply decorated with wood as the main theme.
Room amenities: Natural ventilation, mosquito nets over the air vents, 220 Volts electricity, en-suite bathroom with shower and bathtub and toilet.
