An excellent lodge built with traditional materials, The emphasis is on exclusivity and comfort, the ambiance is Maasai, the decor incorporating ethnic design elements from the culture of the proud tribe in whose realm the lodge is set. The grounds extend almost a kilometre along the Talek River. The river bank is left in its virgin state, while further back lush, landscaped gardens of indeginous plants and trees, attract colourful birds and butterflies. Wide, well-lit pathways link guest rooms and public areas. The lodge, overlooking a dramatic bend in the river, is designed to complement its natural setting.
Location
At Masai Mara game reserve, on the banks of Talek River which is a tributary of Mara River... approximately 260 Kms (5 hours) from Nairobi or 45 minutes by air to the Keekorok airstrip.

Room dcor: The rooms are arranged in clusters of 6 in each natural wood and stone banda (4 rooms on the ground floor, 2 interconnecting rooms on the first floor), Large spacious rooms with private verandahs overlooking the river, made of wood and traditional material like guards for lighting, wall paintings and loose rags.
Room amenities: They all have en-suite showers, tiled bathrooms with natural granite and twyfords, (UK) bathroom fittings. Each spacious room, which can easily accommodate an extra bed, telephone, overhead fans and mosquito nets on request.
