Rift Valley Lodge & Golf Resort is situated in the heart of Kenyas Great Rift Valley, overlooking the southwestern shores of Lake Naivasha from an altitude of about 7,000 feet. The resort sits on the edge of the Mau Escarpment, with sweeping views towards Mount Longonot and the Aberdares Mountains. The grasslands around the resort are home to herds of migrating zebra and several antelope species. Buffalo and leopard regularly visit the waterhole in front of the lodge. The social ˜heart of the Rift Valley Lodge is the clubhouse building, which offers fine dining and spectacular views from its panoramic restaurant and spacious balconies.
Around the clubhouse, lush fairways and sparkling lakes fan out in different directions, all with sweeping views over the surrounding countryside. As well as all the facilities you would expect of a championship golf club, the clubhouse houses a comfortable restaurant, with outdoor dining on its broad balconies, two bars, and a luxurious lounge with a fireplace and satellite television for the use of lodge guests.
Naivasha, approximately 100 Kms from Nairobi.
The weather in the Rift Valley is usually hot and pleasant during the day. However, nights and early mornings can be chilly especially during the winter months between June and September. Bring plenty of lightweight cotton clothes for the day, and a light jacket or fleece for morning and evening game walks.
