Dodos Tower
Consistently rated as one of the top retreats in the world, the eight-story Tower is one of the most luxurious and less known of Kenyan hideaways. Custom-built by Dodo Cunningham-Reid for seasoned romantics, guests are able to enjoy breath-taking views over Oloidien Bay and follow at eagle-eye the movements of the hippos grazing at the foot of the Tower. The rustling of the lake and the sounds of the bush create at all hours a magical symphony of peace and tranquillity, broken only by the splashing of water as the hippos venture out into the bush under the cover of darkness. From the first floor verandah nature lovers can enjoy a safe and relaxing sunset viewing while the top meditation room is reserved to those who want to plunge silently into the essence of Africa.
Location
A private homestead set in amongst a forest of Acacia on the banks of Lake Naivasha. (Hippo-Point a private estate & wildlife sanctuary), a 2 hour drive from Nairobi.

There are four rooms in the house.
ROOM DÉCOR & AMENITIES: Spread over four floors the rooms are exquisitely decorated with antique and fine local furniture, some with private bathrooms and the others with adjoining showers. In the four double rooms no luxury or detail has been overlooked to create a tranquil haven and a truly inspiring aesthetic experience
Food & Drink
The lounge and dining rooms are always accessible but many of the meals are served in the beautiful areas surrounding the house, such as breakfasts by the lake, poolside buffets, or picnics up on the hill. (A romantic morning breakfast is served outside, under the towering acacias, while in the evening intimate candlelit dinners bring the guests back to bygone days of wild simplicity and unspoiled elegance.)
General Facilities
The homestead offers a range of beauty therapy treatments such as yoga, acupuncture, massage and reflexology.
CONFERENCE FACILITIES: None.
Recreational Facilities
Daytime activities include game walks and game drives, water activities such fishing, boating and sundowners on Lake Naivasha and relaxing by the swimming pool. Horse riding, scenic flights over the rift valley and visits to Hells Gate Park, Elsamere Conservation Centre, Crescent Island or any of Kenya's parks can be arranged at an extra charge.
