ABERDARE COUNTRY CLUB, MWEIGA
HOLES:                                   9-HOLE
SIZE                                        4224 YARDS – PAR 33

The Aberdare Country Club golf course is considered to be “the most Rolling” course in Kenya. The course, which is part of this lovely country style hotel with the same name, is perched on Mweiga Hill. Located within an animal sanctuary of 526 hectare (1500 acres), the hotel and 9-hole golf course receive a lot of wildlife traffic. Giraffe, zebra, gazelle, warthog and other plain animals can sometimes be seen on the course. Since the baboons were scattering the sand all over the green rather than remaining in the bushes, the greenkeeper decided to fill the traps with sawdust with good results. Local rule number 2 states that relief of 6 inches is given if the ball lands on animal hoofmarks or droppings. The Question is, “who picks the ball, the player or his/he caddy?’’
