Responsible Business

As an African Tour company that's passionate about Africa, Diwaka Safaris have a responsibility to the communities, wildlife and environment in the destinations we promote. We need to support responsible travel to these amazing places because it makes business sense, yes, but also because we have an online platform that we can use to make a positive contribution. With global reach we can help raise awareness of thoughtful development and conservation in places that we encourage our travellers to experience.

Below we've listed some projects that are making a huge contribution to developing, sustaining and protecting African communities, wildlife and conservation efforts. We've also listed some of the projects Diwaka Safaris contributes to or participates in so you can see if we're living up to our own standards.

The Green Belt Movement

We are a keen supporters of the Green Belt Movement, an NGO headed by Africa's first woman Nobel prize winner Wangari Maathai. The organization is responsible for tree planting and forest conservation.
