Vehicles are available in Nairobi, Mombasa, Malindi and Diani. Rates are valid to 15th December 2005. All these rates are subject to 16% VAT.

CD - Chauffeur driven only. Price includes fuel and cost of driver between 08.00 and 18.00 hours. Price excludes driver's overtime, meals and entry into National Parks and Game reserves (where applicable).
Safari - Vehicles are safari ready with open hatch for game viewing and our exclusive Safari kit.
Min. - Mimimum daily kilometres apply on these rentals when renting on a per day plus kilometre basis.

RATES & CONDITIONS

All rates are expressed in Kenya Shillings, and all exclusive of fuel and oil but inclusive of maintenance. Some vehicles have manual transmission and others automatic transmission. Rates may be adjusted during the year so check when booking.

Air Conditioned cars are usually only available at the coast.

Rates are subject to 16% VAT.

GENERAL CONDITIONS
The hirer and/or authorised driver must have held a full and valid driver’s licence for a minimum of 2 years up to and including the time of hire and driving licence must bear no current endorsement during the last two years. A driving licence from the country of residence or any international driver permit is generally acceptable, provided valid as above. Where regulations require a local permit our office will give immediate assistance. The hirer will be asked for additional deposit to cover refueling and other expenses.

DRIVER’S AGE
The hirer or authorised driver must be over 23 years of age and under 70 years of age. The hirer or authorised driver must also be in possession of proper means of identification other than a driving licence.Self Drive cars are hired subject to the company’s standard form of agreement. Notwithstanding the above conditions the company reserves the right to refuse to hire vehicles to any person at its own discretion. The Company may also require the use of a driver of the Company at the Renter’s expense.

TANZANIA-UGANDA
By prior arrangement, vehicles hired in Kenya may be driven into Tanzania and Uganda. An additional cost of KShs 10,000/- for documentation (certified log book, PTA insurance, etc.) applies. Chauffeur drive is available at KShs 1,600/- per day plus expenses. Renter must pay any road license fees at the border.

REFUSAL OF CAR HIRE
We reserve the right to refuse and or terminate hire at any time without assigning any reason.

WAIVERS & INSURANCE

The vehicle is insured for third party damage and liability. The Renter may take the option of Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) and Theft Protection Waiver (TPW) to reduce liability in the event of accident or theft. When taking CDW and TPW, a deductible applies and tyres, tools and the vehicle’s radio are not covered. The Renter can waive these liabilities by also electing to pay the Excess Liability Waiver (ELW) at the time of rental. We also offer insurance against loss of your personal effects from the vehicle. The Personal Effects Cover (PEC) is available at 800/- shillings per day. Personal Accident Insurance (PAI) offers emergency evacuation and medical aid in the event of an accident. This insurance is available at 400/- shillings per person per day.

NON WAIVER RESPONSIBILITY
Damage to the vehicle or loss (due to theft) can be waived on payment of CDW and TPW, except in all instances the customer is liable for the first KShs 50,000/- on vehicles in Groups A, B and C and KShs 100,000/- on vehicles in Groups D, E, F, G and H.

IMPORTANT
Vehicles in Groups A, B, C, D and S are not suitable for use on un-surfaced roads, in national parks and game reserves. Such use will nullify any and all waivers and may result in fines of up to USD $1,000.00 and the cost of any resulting damage.

PAYMENT - EXCHANGE RATES - HIRE IT HERE AND LEAVE IT THERE - OTHER SERVICES - FUEL

By cash, travellers cheques, or acceptable Credit Card. Deposit of US$ 140 and approximate hire charges to be paid when making hire contract.

EXCHANGE RATES
As at January 2005 the approximate rates are:- US$ 1 = Kshs 75.- UK£ 1 = Kshs 130.-

As at January 2005 the cost of fuel is:-US$ 0.80 per litre, US$ 3.60 per imperial gallon.
