01: 3 DAYS MAASAI MARA CAMPING
SAFARIS
DAY
01: NAIROBI - MASAI MARA 08:30
hours. Depart your hotel and
drive through the beautiful
landscape of the Kikuyu farmlands
before descending to the escarpment
of the Great Rift Valley past
the extinct volcanoes of Longonot
and Suswa, to Narok for picnic
lunch. After lunch continue
across the Loita Plains pasts
occupied and abandoned manyattas
[the nomadic Masai villages]
plastered with cow dung. On
arrival in Masai Mara proceed
on for a game drive. Dinner
and overnight at our campsite.

DAY
02: MASAI MARA A full
day is spent game viewing across
the rich tree studded grassland
and rolling hills. The famous
Masai Mara is renowned for its
great herds of plains game,
black manned lion, leopard,
cheetah & elephants. All
meals at the campsite.
DAY
03: MASAI MARA- NAIROBI Early
morning game drive, return to
the campsite for breakfast and
leave for Nairobi (enjoying
a picnic lunch en route) to
arrive by 4 p.m.
Campsite:
Basic accommodation. The
animals come to the campsite
– you feel so close to the nature!!
Lodges located close to the
campsite offers balloon safari,
refreshments, swim all at an
extra cost.

PARK
DAY
01: NAIROBI - AMBOSELI NATIONAL
PARK 08:30 Hrs. Depart Nairobi
for Amboseli game reserve via
Namanga on the Tanzania border.
Picnic lunch en route, check
in at the campsite and proceed
on for an afternoon game drive
which provides a chance to see
elephants, lions and many other
plains game, dinner and overnight
at the campsite.
DAY
02: AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK 06:30
hrs. Early morning game drive
after which you return to the
campsite for breakfast. After
a while of relaxation, you may
choose to return to the park
for further game drives or an
optional visit the Masai Villages
- [extra cost] to learn about
the Masai Culture. Enjoy lunch
at the campsite and later proceed
on an evening game drive, dinner
and overnight at the campsite
DAY
03: AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK
- NAIROBI Morning game drive,
after breakfast proceed on back
to Nairobi enjoying picnic lunch
en route to arrive Nairobi by
4.00 p.m.
The
campsite is a public utility,
no facilities and is comfortable
for 1 or 2 nights. A drop latrine
is available but no showers.
You can be driven to the nearest
lodge for a shower or swim [at
an extra cost]

03: 4 DAYS LAKE NAKURU _ MASAI
MARA CAMPING SAFARIS

01: NAIROBI – LAKE NAKURU
NATIONAL PARK 08:30 Hrs.
Depart Nairobi for Lake Nakuru
National Park. Picnic lunch
en route followed by an afternoon
game drive in this park described
as the world’s birds spectacle.
You will see thousands of the
pink flamingos and many other
types of birds. Waterbuck, buffalos,
lions & the rhinos are commonly
seen here. Dinner and overnight
in a guesthouse or hostel inside
the park.
DAY
02: LAKE NAKURU – MASAI
MARA Depart after breakfast
for Masai Mara for lunch at
a basic campsite. There after
proceed on for an afternoon
game drive in search the black
manned lion, elephants, leopard,
cheetah, buffalo and other plains
game. Dinner and overnight at
the campsite as before.
DAY
03 : MASAI MARA Full
day game drives exploring these
vast plains, picnic lunch by
the hippo pool and thereafter
return to the campsite for dinner
and overnight. [Optional visit
to the Masai Villages - an extra
cost].

04 : MASAI MARA A
morning game drive, after breakfast
proceed on back to Nairobi with
picnic lunch & stop over
for panoramic view of the Great
Rift Valley to arrive Nairobi
by 4 p.m.

04: 6 DAYS GREAT RIFT VALLEY
LAKES & MAASAI MARA
DAY
01: NAIROBI - LAKE BARINGO Depart
Nairobi [08:30 hrs] and later
descend to the floor of the
Great Rift Valley, for Lake
Baringo [lunch en route] arriving
in the afternoon. Lake Baringo
is a fresh water lake which
supports a great variety of
birds as well as hippos and
crocodiles. [An evening boat
ride] Indeed the lake is reputed
to be the bird-watching center
of Kenya. Overnight at Mrs.
Robert’s Campsite.
DAY
02: LAKE BARINGO - LAKE
NAKURU Early in the morning
we head south via Lake Bogoria,
which is a shallow soda Lake
with a beautiful scenery and
also home to a sizable number
of flamingos and other species
of birds. The highlight however
is the boiling hot springs and
geyser, which also contributes
to the beauty of the lake. After
lunch we proceed to Lake Nakuru
– another shallow soda lake
that is described as an ornithologist
paradise and one of the world’s
most magnificent sights. Here
one has an opportunity to see
up to millions of flamingos
besides tens of thousands of
others birds. Lake Nakuru is
a rhino sanctuary and also harbors
lions, warthog, waterbuck, buffalo,
hippo and many other animals.

or hostel located inside the
park
DAY
03: LAKE NAKURU – MASAI
MARA We head further south
to Narok, camping in our semi-permanent
camp located near Sekenani gate
at the edge of the park. Walk-in-tents
with beds & mattresses,
hot & cold showers are available
at this basic campsite and meals
are served in the dinning mess.

04 & 05: MASAI MARA From
the base camp we explore the
Mara region which is packed
with the elephants, zebras,
rhinos and all kinds of game
throughout the year, with the
spectacular wildebeest migration
from Serengeti occurring mainly
in July and August. Dinner &
overnight at the campsite.
DAY
06: MASAI MARA - NAIROBI Morning
game drive & return to the
campsite for breakfast, thereafter
proceed on to Nairobi via Narok
where Masai souvenirs can be
bought - Picnic lunch en route.

05: 8 DAYS SAMBURU - LK. BARINGO
- MAASAI MARA
DAY
01: NAIROBI - SAMBURU GAME
RESERVE 08:30 am: Depart
Nairobi in the morning passing
through the rich agricultural
farmland on the slopes of Mt.
Kenya to the mainly dry scrubland
and open Savannah plains of
Samburu Game Reserve. Here the
Ewaso Nyiro River supports a
wide variety of game among them
elephants, buffalo, cheetah,
leopard, lion, grevy’s zebra,
reticulated giraffe, long necked
gerenuk and the Oryx. Set up
tents with dinner and overnight
at the campsite. [Picnic lunch
en route].

02: SAMBURU GAME RESERVE
Morning and afternoon game
drives with all meals at the
campsite.
DAY
03: SAMBURU - LAKE BARINGO Depart
Samburu after an early breakfast
and drive through the scenic
areas to the west across the
Lerochi Plateau, picnic lunch
en route later descend to the
floor of the Great Rift Valley,
arriving Lk. Baringo in the
afternoon. This is a fresh water
lake, which supports a great
variety of birds as well as
hippos and crocodiles. Indeed
the lake is reputed to be the
bird-watching center of Kenya.

morning we head south via Lk.

head further south to Narok
arriving at a basic campsite

6 & 7: MASAI MARA From
the base camp we explore the

spectacular wilderbeest migration
from Serengeti occurring mainly
in July and August. All meals
at the campsite.

08: MASAI MARA - NAIROBI
Early morning game drive,
return for breakfast and there
after proceed to Nairobi via
Narok where Masai souvenirs
can be bought, picnic lunch
en route.

for 1 night or 2 nights. Lake
Nakuru – Cold showers,flash

06: 12 DAYS ADVENTURE CYCLING
IN THE RIFT VALLEY
DAY
01: NAIROBI - LAKE NAIVASHA
Depart Nairobi at 8.30 am
and drive through the Great
Rift Valley southwest to Naivasha
area. Start cycling at the junction
of Moi South road through the
horticultural farming land on
the shore of the lake. The road
is tarmac and with minimal motoring
making it safe for the cyclist.
After one hour, arrive at Fisherman’s
camp where we have set up the
camp for lunch and a short rest
to familiarize with the campsite
were we are to spend [2] two
nights. In the afternoon further
cycling on Moi South road with
a visit to a horticultural farm
to learn and study the growing
of flowers around this wetland
area. All meals and overnight
are at the Fisherman’s camp.
DAY
02: LAKE NAIVASHA Early
morning breakfast and thereafter
ride out to Hell’s gate National
Park where you can appreciate
watching animals like buffalos,
impala, waterbuck, and gazelles
while cycling. The cycling will
take you to Fischer’s Tower
with an option of the buffalo
circuit. If the weather permits,
we ride up to Olkaria Geothermal
Station. You also have a chance
to take a walk down the Gorge.
Spend the afternoon in the park
with picnic lunch or ride back
to the campsite and spend the
afternoon at leisure with an
option of a boat ride to Crescent
Island - [extra cost] or a visit
to Elsa Mere conservation center
also at an exrtra cost. All
meals and overnight at Fisherman’s
camp in tents.
DAY
03: LAKE BARINGO We break
the camp early morning after
breakfast and drive to Lake
Baringo via Bogoria. The drives
takes 2 hours and thereafter
ride out on the bicycles for
23 km to Lk. Bogoria National
Reserve to see flamingos and
other wildlife. You will have
picnic lunch inside the reserve
with further exploration on
the shore of the lake. Also
a chance to have a natural steam
bath at the hot geysers. We
later drive or cycle back to
Lake Baringo where we set up
the camp for dinner and overnight.
DAY
04: LAKE BARINGO The
day is spent visiting the local
communities and learning about
their cultural behaviours and
lifestyle. Kalenjin speaking
people who are part of Highland
Nilotes not only practice cow
and goat rearing but also practice
farming on small-scale basis
inhabits the area. The weather
is very hot with temperature
rising to 35 degrees Celsius.
It will be a good chance for
bird watchers as it is an arnithological
paradise. A boat ride at the
lake is recommend at an extra
cost. All meals and overnight
at Mrs. Robert’s campsite in
tents.
DAY
05: ELDORET After breakfast
break up camp and set off for
Eldoret town. During the drive,
you can ride as much as you
wish since the road does not
have much traffic making it
very safe. A back up vehicle
will always be available for
any rider who get tired. The
ride and drive through Kabarnet
and Iten is very scenic, especially
going down the Great Rift Valley.
We arrive in Eldoret town in
the afternoon and check in at
Sirikwa hotel for overnight
on half board basis. Clients
can spend the rest of the afternoon
by the swimming pool or visiting
the local community. DAY 06:
KITALE After shopping for food
supply and other necessary material
we drive for 2 hours to Kitale
town and camp at Barnley’s or
Saiwa Swamp. Spend the afternoon
scouting the farming area on
bicycle or walking in Saiwa
Swamp in search of the Sitatunga
and other primates. Overnight
is at the campsite in tents.
DAY
07: KITALE The day is
spent exploring Saiwa Swamp
or visiting Cherengani foothills.
Picnic lunch, dinner and overnight
at Barney’s campsite.
DAY
08: KAKAMEGA FOREST Breakfast
and break up the camp and drive
via Webuye to Kakamega forest
where we set up camp at the
KWS headquarters. Explore the
forest on bicycle or on foot
with a local naturalist as a
guide. All meals and overnight
at Undo’s campsite.
DAY
09: KAKAMEGA FOREST The
whole day is spent in Kakamega
forest with a visit to Isiukhu
waterfalls and Buyangu Hills
view point. Kakamega forest
is the remains of once natural
rain forest extended from Guinea
– Congo Area Across Africa.
Several species of primates
and over 300 species of birds
are found here. All meals and
overnight at the campsite.
DAY
10: KERICHO We drive
via Kisumu town through the
sugar cane belt to arrive Kericho
town in time for lunch. Spend
the afternoon cycling around
the tea plantation and visit
one of the factories to learn
about the tea processing. Lunch,
dinner and overnight at the
campsite in the plantation.
DAY
11: LAKE NAKURU N. PARK Breakfast
and proceed on to Lake Nakuru
National Park where you will
spend the afternoon game viewing
dinner and overnight at a hostel
or campsite inside the park.
DAY
12: NAIROBI The morning
is spent game viewing in search
of lion, leopard, rhino and
other game. After lunch drive
to Nairobi to arrive early in
the evening.
